About Security at Sanctuary Lakes Resort
Security services at Sanctuary Lakes Resort operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, through a coordinated four-part system consisting of:
- Mobile patrols
- Alarm Response
- Incident Response
- Residential back-to-base alarm system monitoring by a specialist electronic monitoring system for Security response
The primary role of Sanctuary Lakes Security is to provide a first response to alarms activated at residential properties and community facilities throughout the resort. All alarm activations are reported to the monitoring control room and escalated to the Security Manager or Victoria Police where required.
Security officers conduct regular patrols across the estate and are responsible for observing and reporting suspicious or unusual activity.
Security vehicles are equipped with first aid response equipment, including a defibrillator, and all Security personnel are trained in first aid.
The security team can be contacted by calling 9394 9471
A reminder that the speed limit is 50km P/H within the resort.
It is important to understand that the Security staff do not have any additional law enforcement powers beyond those of the general public. Residents are encouraged to report any criminal or law-breaking activity directly to Victoria Police by calling 000.
Security regularly receives reports relating to issues that are managed by Wyndham City Council. The following matters should be reported directly to Council:

Alternatively, Wyndham City Council can be contacted on (03) 9742 0777 (including after business hours).
Alarm System
The security service provided for residents is supported by back-to-base monitoring of the alarm system.
In accordance with the Owners Corporation rules, all homes within the resort are required to have an approved security alarm system installed in line with the required specifications. Alarm systems must meet the minimum standards to ensure compatibility with the resort’s back-to-base monitoring service.
Residents may engage any licensed and qualified security technician to service, maintain, upgrade or install alarm systems, including smoke detectors. It is important that all technicians hold the appropriate licences and qualifications.
Please note that Sanctuary Lakes Resort Services recommends the Bosch 6000 alarm system.
Sanctuary Lakes Resort Services uses the alarm technician listed below. Residents are under no obligation to engage this supplier.

Please note that fees may apply when engaging an alarm technician to assess or repair faults.
For properties that are being connected to the Security Control Room for the first time, or re-connected following an upgrade or installation of a Permaconn device, the alarm technician must contact one of the following while onsite to obtain the known installer code:
- Resort Security Officer (RSO): (03) 9394 9471
- Security Manager: (03) 9394 9473
Failure to follow this process may result in Sanctuary Lakes Security being locked out of the alarm system. In these situations, Security staff may only be able to power down the system, and an alarm technician will be required to attend to resolve the issue.
The Security team can assist residents with basic troubleshooting, including issues such as flat alarm batteries. Any faults beyond the team’s capabilities will require attendance by a licensed alarm technician.
SLR Security recommends installing one of the three Wireless Alarm Monitoring devices:
